CONTINUING EDUCATION

Enhance Your Advocacy Skills

At CASA of NELA, we believe in the power of ongoing education to strengthen our advocacy efforts. To help our volunteers stay informed and effective, we offer a variety of resources designed to deepen your understanding of the issues affecting the children we serve. Whether you prefer listening to podcasts, reading insightful books and articles, or watching informative documentaries and shows, you'll find valuable materials to support your continuing education.

Each active CASA volunteer is required to complete 12 hours of continuing education each year. These hours can be fulfilled by engaging with the curated resources below, which cover topics relevant to our mission and the well-being of children in foster care.

IN-SERVICE TRAINING

Continuing Education for CASA Volunteers

Ongoing training is essential for CASA volunteers to stay informed and effective in their advocacy. Our In-Service Training sessions provide current volunteers with valuable opportunities to deepen their knowledge, refine their skills, and stay up-to-date on the latest developments in child welfare and advocacy practices. These interactive sessions cover a variety of topics relevant to your work and are designed to help you meet your annual continuing education requirements.

By participating in our In-Service Training, you'll gain insights from experts, engage in meaningful discussions, and connect with fellow advocates. Each training session is tailored to address the specific needs and challenges faced by CASA volunteers, ensuring you have the tools and knowledge necessary to make a lasting impact on the lives of the children you serve. Be sure to mark your calendar and take advantage of these opportunities to enhance your advocacy efforts.
